Pinterest is great

Articles have been flying around the interwebs about how Pinterest can make you depressed. The pressure of having picture-perfect homes and artfully crafted meals is apparently getting to people on a deeper level. I felt some of that stress while we were planning our wedding, but that could’ve just been normal wedding stress (who knows?). All I know is that Pinterest helps me pick out my outfit when I hate everything in my closet, and it’s my best friend when I need to find general inspiration to keep me awake during the day. A little comparison never hurt anybody—it’s when it turns into a total jealous rage that it becomes dangerous. So, fellow pinners, tread lightly and use Pinterest as it was intended … inspire and be inspired.

Now, here’s a list of things that I’d like that other beautiful ladies have …

Spring Style / Cool & Casual

It seems like spring is here to stay, at least for a while, so I guess I’ll make the most of it by pairing my fall and summer favorites—tees, boyfriend jeans, loafers and neon-bright sweaters. OK, spring isn’t so bad ;)

Hard vs. Soft

I love the classic juxtaposition of hard and soft, feminine and masculine, like these images and illustrations. Feminine women with chiffon and tulle, laced with tattoos and studs. You’ve gotta love a tough girl!

it’s holiday party time!

The holiday season is always so stressful — finding the perfect gifts and getting everything ready in time for family gatherings — until it comes time for the parties. The office party, in particular, because that’s when you can really get dolled up! This season, I’m obsessed with this photo above, her look is effortless and she is just oozing personal style. I’m considering this my holiday inspiration and here’s how to copy it!

so cool.

I started watching Breaking Bad recently and I’m hooked. Krysten Ritter plays the girlfriend of Aaron Paul’s character and she’s pretty kick-ass. And now she has her own show, Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23, which is hilarious! Especially the parts where James Van Der Beek is on-screen, playing himself—all arrogant and snobby. I love it!

My Friday.

For the first time in a long time, I feel like it’s really Friday. Like I accomplished a lot this week and I earned a Friday. I think I’ll use this weekend to get some more work done, maybe even be proactive and get some of next week’s tasks accomplished. Or, maybe I’ll take a break :)

Happy Friday to you all!

To bob or not to bob?

I’ve been getting the same haircut (angled bob, just above my shoulders) for the last 4 years, which I’ve loved every single time… until recently when the stylist did a half-assed job. Not loving my hair for the first time in so long made me consider different styles, though. So I guess not all was lost. Except that I am caught in a little predicament—a classic style or an edgy one?
