Summer STRIPES

Talk about color-blocking. These looks from the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar are taking the new trend seriously. I’m totally obsessed with that second dress, by Marc Jacobs. What a perfect maxi dress for summer!

Modern Prep

Cool retro looks for Elle Russia, styled by Hortense Manga. I love the Modern hair and makeup, styled with vintage pieces. The things that the fashion world is doing to update classic looks are really baffling, but oh-so-exciting!

Sexy, NO?

I love when you can see the top of a woman’s foot when she’s wearing a great pair of heels. Even better, when that’s all you can see! Maybe this is just a weird quirk of mine, but I think it’s such a sexy look. Is this just me?

SAN FRAN plans

SO! J and I have finally agreed (it took some pretty intense arm-twisting on my part) that our first trip to San Francisco will be this Fall! And I couldn’t be more excited to plan it!

I bought this book super cheap from Borders (sad face that they are all going out of business), which has a ton of cool resources for cheapo tourists on a budget. I am so excited to hit up the Golden Gate Bridge/Park and to take walks around the neighborhoods. If anyone knows of a sweet spot to grab lunch or any must-see/do/visit cheap/free san fran sites, pleeeeeaaase let me know!
I’m following @GrouponSF on twitter, so maybe something sweet will come out of that :)

COMPLETELY UNRELATED?

Two equally beautiful but completely unrelated posters design by two different designers. — why the hell did she post these posters together?! — because they have such a retro look, like they could’ve been designed by the greats from the 60s or 70s, but nope, they’re current. Which makes them even more interesting, in my opinion. Newbies (or oldies) reinventing the past. Gotta love art.
